Using Number Lines to Represent All Numbers

Help students learn about using number lines to represent all numbers in this one minute video shared for FREE by The Curriculum Corner
Using number lines to help teach various math concepts may help increase student understanding.
This is a post sponsored by ORIGO Education.  All opinions are our own.
The Curriculum Corner is so fortunate to partner with ORIGO Education to share a series of short videos to help you with your math instruction.
We have already shared two of their informative videos.  If you missed those, check out the links at the bottom of the post to take a look.
This is the third in a series of videos by ORIGO Education. Each one minute video is designed to help teachers discover or explain a new strategy for teaching a math concept. These videos have been created for teachers, not students. The hope is that each one will give you knowledge that will help you with your instruction in the classroom.
The ORIGO One series of videos shows you how to create light bulb moments for your students and therefore increase their understanding.
These videos take a mathematics concept and break it into small pieces that are easy to understand and only take a minute to watch. We hope that you will find the videos we share to be useful in your classroom instruction!
This third video focuses on sharing ways that number lines can be used in teaching various mathematical concepts – rational numbers, positive/negative numbers, fractions, decimals and more.  The number line is a versatile tool for students to use when calculating or composing & decomposing numbers.
Number lines are a powerful visual model for numbers (something many students greatly need), but also a tool students can use mentally in their mathematical thinking.
You will find the first video, Using Number Lines to Represent All Numbers here:
